Universal Restaurant has been on my list for a while, having
heard about and salivating over the famed “gaytime goes nuts” dessert. And I
was excited when, as a belated birthday gift, invited to Universal Restaurant
in Darlinghurst. However, the title of this review reflects my experience.

Flavours as high as bond yields or "distressed" taste buds? - Peripherals food, Hong Kong style
I do apologise for the lame title
– to avoid confusion, this is a review for the Spanish Tapas restaurant I had the pleasure of
dining at in Hong Kong. I would like to say that the flavours that I got to savour made my taste
buds rally higher and higher, a bit like Spanish bond yields over the past two
years. Although, some dishes did put my tastebuds into distress. The finance analogies shall end here – read on for more about the food.

Sophistication and Elegance - Shanghai Style
Before
I start, the title is not only to describe one of my best friend’s from
exchange Solveig who was a joint reviewer on my foray into Mr and Mrs. Bund.
The title is to describe the restaurant itself, a fine dining establishment
specialising in late-night dining, located in the heart of Asia’s new
preeminent financial hub.
